Clinical observation on failured cases of pulpotomy on adults.

Abstract
|
|
|
We have observed 30 cases of pulpotomy which terminated pulp necrosis. Calcium hydroxide was used alone by the method of routine acceptable technic. The begining of undesirable symptoms were carefuly checked and the results of this clinical observation was as fallows.
1) 20 cases were hypersensitive to cold and the remaining 10 cases showed hypersensitive to warmth.
2) The younger the patient, this symptom appeared more easily and earlier.
3) Those cases which were sensitive to cold were also responded to warmth after certain periods.
4) 4 cases showed tenderness to percussion out of 10 cases which initially reacted to warmth.
5) 4 cases which showed tenderness to percussion, increased their mobility.
